In 2021 I left Georgia with my van and traveled through Turkey and Bulgaria to several Balkan countries. What was meant to be just a spiritual journey with beautiful images, became a photo-documentary project. I witnessed the shrinking Salt Lake and heavily polluted marble island in Turkey, horses eating garbage and young people escaping the mountainous villages in Albania, forests burning in Montenegro, animal species high at risk in North Macedonia, and so much more.
