In order for the city to function properly on a day-to-day basis, a lot of people take part in it. However, this often remains unnoticed by the society. Tamar is one of them. She has been working in Tbilisi Metropolitan for 20 years. I visited her at work and captured her daily routine, what challenges they are facing every day to keep everyone safe during traveling. This is a part of a bigger project, where I want to show everyone that all these people matter.

With the project “Femmes Seules”, I want to present the fate of solitude woman in modern Georgia, where it is still observed, the dominant role of a man, in the family, which is typical for a patriarchal society, the so-called Gender stereotypes. I think, such women need more support from society and the state. In my opinion, it is necessary, to break the views, which excludes happiness of a single woman. I want to show these people to the public from a different perspective. Isn't the wealth of the world in its diversity?! With this project, I want to present women who live completely alone and cope with the difficulties of everyday life.

This is a project about women who lost their husbands in the war of 2008, when Russia invaided Georgia and seized territories, these are women who were left alone in the face of a big challenge-to raise children without a father and to lead the family. These are women, tender as flowers and strong at the same time, that is why I had an association to compare them with flowers, because the flower can withstand rain, wind, natural cataclysms, but cannot withstand the human hand. These women are also destroyed by human hands, although as a result of great efforts they managed to cope with difficulties, they proudly bear the names of the wives of heroes. The purpose of this project is to remind the society once again, what Russia has taken away from Georgia, not only 20% of the land, but also the best people from their families and homeland. This loss can never be compensated by anything...
