The economic crisis that has been affecting Argentina for over 30 years seems not to give relief to a country that is increasingly on its knees and has to face a very strong recession. In Buenos Aires the Villas Miseria have become 34 Made up of a predominantly rural population, mostly coming from neighboring countries such as Bolivia and Paraguay in search of a better future, for over 50 years they have formed a belt along the center of the city and despite the various changes of governments there has never been any intervention that has managed to definitively eradicate a right to a dignified life. Villa Soldati and Villa Lugano are 2 of the 34 that I have had the opportunity to get to know. While everything flows as normal, Buenos Aires shows its double aspect: a city to show to tourists made of nightlife, elegant and melancholic tango bars and the other that of the cartoneros who increasingly crowd the streets of the capital and the Villas.

Canale Monterano is the last inhabited area of the metropolitan city of the municipality of Rome. The town is located close to the old Monterano, an area strongly protected by the Reserve that manages and protects it for an area of about 50 kmq. Over the course of its 150 years, the town has tried to develop and above all to maintain the ancient traditions that it still tries to preserve today. These are the hours that remain before house arrest becomes a prison arrest for a young 34-year-old Roman who has spent about half his life in prison for “minimal” crimes. Mirko sends me a message via Messenger in which he asks me to share his story. In this very short time I try to piece together a life where through his photographs attached to the walls of the house I can still see him as a child in his mother’s arms, that mother who is also young, as is his father, both drug addicts. His is a cry of pain, an environment that has not protected him, absent social workers, but above all from drug addiction. These 72 hours are full of pain, so much so that he has to resort to asking to be able to return to prison because that is his natural daily life. In his folder of photographs there is his entire imaginary life made of holidays in the tropics, building a false image of himself behind images of iconic beaches to hide his pain.

Massimiliano, taking advantage of the municipal management malaise, which saw these spaces unattended for 30 years, occupied and created an association called PH. After having spent long periods of detention he tries to help people like him who have had problems with the law and other people who in Corviale had problems with employment in the world of work. Thanks to his previous experience in the art of restoration, in the association In Piacca, restoration work and clearing out of apartments and cellars were carried out together with other associations on various occasions in which the square became an attraction and reference for cultural events. A point of reference where especially local inclusion has experienced a decade of energy. From March the entire square will be subject to a long-term redevelopment project and the associations present have had to leave the occupied spaces. Although a return and temporary placement is expected, PH's fate is uncertain

"The new Corviale also called" Serpentone "is a building about 1 km long that rises on the western outskirts of Rome, born in the late '70s to deal with the housing crisis. Since its birth this place has been synonymous with decay and crime especially for a managerial malaise, so much so that it has become one of the symbolic neighborhoods of Rome. History sees men and women catapulted into a place without infrastructure, still wearing the wounds caused by the tearing of the mass eviction, forced to live together by force or for reason. People who have had to reorganize their lives with great difficulty, trying to reinvent it, to color it, to live it with new rules and above all with do-it-yourself. My intent was to give a voice and make known the human of the weakest or rather the "invisible" ones that are often forgotten, or talked about in a stereotypical way .
