The life of the Pink Bridge

Every day the dark and noisy traffic of the city of San Salvador looms under the mantle of the pink bridge of the Barrio de la candelaria. Place where young inhalers of glue known as Peguitas live and die. Without direction and without destiny each one of them transits by the surroundings without hardly knowledge of what they do and the why. Malnourished and confused the glue shatters their lives. "His eyes shine the crystalline patina of the one who looks without seeing. Half tear, half glass. Absent from the surrounding bustle. Aged. Dirty With more life inside their pupils than in the cobblestones by which they crawl aimlessly. They are called Peguitas because of the toxic they inhale, an industrial glue to which, paradoxically, they have been stuck. Nose against bottle or plastic bag. A stamp that does not appear in the instructions of the product but is common anywhere in Latam

Humanist, Psychologist at the Complutense University of Madrid. He teaches photojournalism and documentary photography at the International School PICA. He develops humanitarian essays where the main characters are integrated in societies that borders and sets upon any reason or human rights.
