Anri Tabagua
Seaside Man
(1988-2023)
His photography is
divided into several worlds, where the main characters are always people,
especially children, the sea, the street and his beloved Bakhmaro; the place he
loved most and where he felt happiest and at the same time free, where he and
his photographs were real. The mountain that freed him from everything and
returned its love with fresh air.
Simple, unadorned,
sincere and at the same time crazy – just like Anri himself was.
With a changing
character, living within a changing framework.
Anri Tabagua's
photographs show that from the moment he touches the camera, his work becomes a
reflection of himself. He was always looking for something new, interesting for
him, alien and at the same time the closest, mysterious, slightly melancholic,
and most often romantic.
