When the shadow is my mask

Shrouded by the curtain, shadows where I feel abstracted from reality, strings try to hold me back, pride of someone wearing an heavy mask, here I find myself surrounded by the silence.
A flash of light opens the scene. It seems to indicate the way to an orchestra that I perceive being noisy in this darkness. A bow and rewinding in the curtain I walk away after having defied the weakness that has now become my strength.
The inclusion of deaf people in the theater is the juggling between multiple scenes and blank music sheets: silence is not absence but pure harmony. On stage as in life.
The Senzaspine Orchestra is currently an association of 450 musicians under the age of 35. Born in 2013 from the idea of two conductor and friends, T. Ussardi and M. Parmeggiani. From 2021 the participation in operas by deaf actors becomes a crucial part of a wider project whose aim is the maximum accessibility to music and theater spaces.

Fiorella Baldisserri, classical studies and an interest in art in all its forms, is a photographer from Bologna who loves traveling both by profession and by passion.The professional approach to photography took place in 2016 by attending courses of study of the image and history of photography. She then attended to the Photojournalism Masterclass. Currently Fiorella has seen some shots published by national and international newspapers both in print and online.
