On February 15, the International Day for the Fight Against Childhood Cancer is commemorated in all countries of the world, where many health organizations and government institutions emphasize the importance of counteracting and attacking cancer that directly affects cancer. to those under 15 years old. In El Salvador, leukemia in children is the most diagnosed cancer, it is followed by lymphomas which is also a blood pathology. Although there are hundreds of infants with different types of cancer in the country, the treatments for the care of this pediatric disease have made the survival rate to leukemia 70% when in 1991 it was 5%. Leukemias are a type of oncological pathology that occurs in the blood flow, lymphomas are more than anything if they are related to blood tissues, but may present some type of tumor that can occur in different parts of the body, such as in the neck.
