Omar Haj Kadour
Omar Haj Kadour, a Syrian photojournalist born in Binnish, Idlib Governorate in 1987, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in documenting wars and armed conflicts and their impact on civilians. Married with two children, he resides in Idlib, northwestern Syria. Kadour graduated from the Institute of Banking and Commerce in Idlib in 2007 and then pursued his studies in business administration at Tishreen University in Latakia. As protests escalated in Syria, he dropped out during his first year to avoid the risk of arrest by the Syrian regime. Since 2007, Kadour has been actively working as a photojournalist, building an impressive career in collaboration with prominent international, regional and local media outlets. He has worked for Agence France-Presse for a decade, where he has demonstrated his expertise in covering conflicts. His skills include 17 years of experience in photography. He has also received numerous international awards and rankings.
